Are you fascinated by the world of light and its endless possibilities? Are you studying for an MBO, HBO, or Master’s degree and interested in discovering exciting career opportunities in Optics, Photonics, and Photonic Chip technologies?

If you answered yes, we invite you to CARLA Camp and embark on a journey into the world of photonics. This edition of the career event takes place at The Gallery at University of Twente in Enschede.

The CARLA Camp 2024 was initially scheduled for Wednesday 12 June, but has been postponed until the fall due to circumstances. It will now take place on 25 November 2025!

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Gain first-hand knowledge of the diverse career paths available in the photonics industry and its applications, for example, in the medical, food, automotive, and data and telecom fields.
  • Discover the ubiquitous and sometimes surprising presence of photonics in our daily lives.

  • Join us on a company visit to explore the world of the photonics industry and discover what it’s like to work in this innovative field.

Who is this event for?

CARLA Camp welcomes bachelor students, university students, PhD students, and postdoc researchers who are interested, curious, or already active in the field of photonics. If you are pursuing relevant courses in STEM fields such as physics, engineering, math, computer science, chemistry, biotechnology, biomedicine, biology, or nanotechnology, this event is specifically designed for you.
